This is an amulet from the Ōtori Grand Shrine in Sakai City, one of the former First Rank Imperial shrines. Since ancient times, it has enshrined the soul of Yamato Takeru-no-Mikoto in his form as a swan. This image has evolved and is now associated with the phoenix.
